Parents

On behalf of the Fuse team we welcome you to Forest Town Church Children's Ministry, and thank you for entrusting us with your child!

Fuse is for grades 7 to 11 (children aged 11-15). The programme aims to help the young people grow in their understanding of God and develop a more intimate relationship with Him. The youth are engaged in a programme that uses music, multimedia, drama, games and much more to gain a greater understanding of the Bible. There is also preaching aimed to meet the needs of this age group and importantly, an opportunity to discuss the lesson content with a leader and their peers in small group discussion time. In Fuse the children have a support network in which they are encouraged to mature in their faith and commitment to God as they prepare for the challenges that life holds.

Child Protection

Forest Town Church has made every effort to protect your child and all leaders must be police checked and have a recommendation from a member of the Forest Town Church leadership.

Discipline

We try to make our programmes fun, fresh and powerful so that a child will not become disruptive. We also use positive reinforcement, however, at this age we encourage children to take responsibility for their own behaviour and the children themselves have written a code of conduct to which every leader expects them to adhere. In extreme circumstances a child may be placed back into the adult service with their parent. Parents will be notified of inappropriate behaviour.

Curriculum

We write and develop our own curriculum, which runs over 6-7 weeks and explores various topics that are important to the young people. This character-building curriculum incorporates the use of multimedia, biblical teaching, coffee mornings and opportunities to sit under our Leaders' teachings. Kids In Ministry

We encourage children to begin to explore their gifts by providing opportunities for them to contribute in areas such as the prophetic, praying for healing, dance, singing, preaching, etc.

Fuse Team

We are proud of our Children's Ministry Team. All members of the Fuse team are passionate individuals who have a heart to see the next generation of God's Ambassadors raised up in every area Jesus asked us to be involved in. As a team we also attend conferences and training days to help us grow as leaders and to ensure your child never has "crumbs" from us. If you see them around at Church, please thank them and encourage them for the great job they do.
